21gr is a generative art project by digital artist hex6c loosely inspired by the film 21 grams directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu.
The theme of the 21gr art project is evanescence, evaporation, the progressive loss of consistency, the lightness of the soul leaving the unsustainable body.
The project consists of a series of generative portraits that aim to capture the moment when the soul leaves the physical body by subtracting its weight - 21 grams - from that of the body.
The generative code, written in by artist hex6c, implements an organic random walk that fills the space between two consecutive random points with a line or text chosen for or written by the portrait subject. During execution, the artist controls a dashboard to modify the flow of the painting. The result is a collaboration between artist and machine.
Proudly, the generarive code did not use any form of artificial intelligence.
A techno-visionary, sculpting the future with code and capital. A restless architect of AI, he weaves ambition into algorithms, pushing the edge of intelligence. Part philosopher, part pragmatist, he dances with disruption, seeking not just to predict tomorrow, but to build it — one exponential leap at a time.
